CHORASAN: Ghasab the Butcher

Chorasan is a worldbuilding project I worked on together with Amir Khan Dj. Afschar for our Bachelor Thesis. You can check out his work here: https://adja.artstation.com/ . It is the vision of a future where our old world has perished and a new dystopia has emerged from its remains. Centered around the region of former Mesopotamia, the people of this new world need to go back to their roots, to the cradle of cultures, the Orient. Our main goal for this project was to experiment with merging oriental aesthetics with a science fiction theme.
Ghasab the Butcher is the captain of the prison guard in the floating city of Asan. Due to his short stature, he had let himself built a giant and powerful mech. It features several arms powered by gravitational generators that can separate into segments to hit the enemy over a far distance, similar to a chain sword.
