Chorasan is a worldbuilding project I worked on together with Amir Khan Dj. Afschar for our Bachelor Thesis. You can check out his work here: https://adja.artstation.com/ . It is the vision of a future where our old world has perished and a new dystopia has emerged from its remains. Centered around the region of former Mesopotamia, the people of this new world need to go back to their roots, to the cradle of cultures, the Orient. Our main goal for this project was to experiment with merging oriental aesthetics with a science fiction theme.
Sahal is the king of the Asan empire, one of the most powerful realms of the seven kingdoms. He resides on the highest level of the floating city in the Shahanshah Palace. Ambitious and cunning, he carries a scepter containing the artifact of gravitational technology which gives him the greatest power in the empire. He wears heavy, ornate ceremonial robes - his crown, shaped like the globe, resembles his claim for world domination.
